Now, if my cold coffee vaala bhaiya would have had an online store, I would’ve loved to just order in and enjoy my coffee in my comfort place.

But, more often than not, these local merchants are quite hesitant to get their local business online. See, what happens in a brick-and-mortar business may or may not have walk-in customers, but when you go online, you are noticed by thousands of dorks like me who are always browsing.

Despite the obvious benefits of getting your local business online, we often hear businessmen voicing out their fears of doing so.

Today, I am here to convince you to get your local shops online.

I know you love your customers, and you would do anything to solve their issues. Err… I like your spirit, but the method is wrong. Go on to the internet, answer their questions and conduct webinars - all this won’t take your time, and also your answers won’t reach just one person; it will reach a thousand customers.

Work from Anywhere

Irrespective of your living and working conditions, you can still provide your products and services to someone who is miles away from you. See, that’s the beauty of the internet; it brings people closer. Not only does it widen your horizon of customers, but also millions of people can visit your online store at a time and take advantage of it.

Profit

Obviously, I don’t have to tell you that your profit-to-cost ratio will be higher than any local store. You will be eliminating the cost of a salesperson, no fancy stores, and so on. And also, when the servicing costs are less, then the profit will be higher.

I do not deny the challenges that will come along with online businesses, but it is time that we upgrade because we have to keep up with the world as well. I was once told, “No man is an island in himself,” and it’s true; you can’t be alone stuck in the infinite and tedious loop of brick-and-mortar business.
